5th Annual Caribbean Inter-Island Drill Competition

The 5th Annual Caribbean Inter-Island Drill Competition was held in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands on 2-5 April 1998. Seven JROTC units participated from high schools in Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, and Panama. Drill events included Regulation squad and platoon drill, color guard, tap out and exhibition armed and unarmed drill. The Cadet Challenge physical test was also a competitive event. In the end, Antilles Military Academy from Puerto Rico took the Best Overall title. For the cadets, it was an opportunity to meet new people and compete against others. Most of all, the cadets had fun, not only in the competition, but during their time with fellow cadets from other schools.
